La Dolce Vita Orient Express luxury train journeys can be coordinated by REQUEST VIP around a dated itinerary and one of 31 current cabins. The Italian train has operated since April 2025. We verify the route, cabin, private bathroom, included transfer, dining and optional experiences before adding hotels or flights.
Key Facts
- La Dolce Vita Orient Express began operating with an inaugural Rome–Montalcino journey on 4 April 2025.
- The standard composition publishes 12 Deluxe Cabins of 7m², 18 Suites of 11m² and one 27m² La Dolce Vita Suite.
- Every cabin accommodates a maximum of two guests and has a private bathroom with shower, toilet and vanity; cabins do not interconnect.
- Current programmes range from a nine-hour Rome–Venice day journey to multi-night Italian tours and a scheduled four-night Rome–Istanbul route.
La Dolce Vita Orient Express Concierge Booking
Choose the published journey before choosing the room. The live collection includes one-way Rome–Venice and Venice–Rome trips, Rome round trips through Tuscany, Portofino, Matera or Sicily, longer Grand Tour formats and international Rome–Istanbul departures. The calendar, duration and direction determine boarding, off-train stops and final-city logistics.
REQUEST VIP checks an actual departure through the luxury train journey hub, not an undated route name. The official itinerary should show every day, train night, operational stop and optional experience. For a wider Italian stay, the Italy destination guide can frame compatible cities without changing the operator's rail schedule.
Deluxe Cabin, Suite or La Dolce Vita Suite
The 7m² Deluxe Cabin converts between a daytime lounge and sleeping layout. The 11m² Suite provides more living space, while the single 27m² La Dolce Vita Suite is a distinct top category. Bedding can be double or twin within the operator's stated arrangements. No category should be called connecting.
All 31 standard cabins publish an en-suite shower, toilet and vanity. That is a material difference from heritage trains whose entry cabins use shared facilities. One Suite is designed for guests with reduced mobility and lies near common areas; the train's other corridors are about 61cm wide. Suitability still requires an individual review of boarding, wheelchair dimensions and off-train movements.
Compare the cabin facts only with this train. The future L'Orient Express train and Belmond's operating Venice Simplon-Orient-Express use different rolling stock, accommodation names, operators and conditions.
Included service and paid choices
The current operator FAQ lists transfer to the departure station, selected accommodation, table d'hôte dining, selected wines and spirits, soft drinks, water, tea and coffee, onboard entertainment and applicable taxes. Premium labels, certain à la carte dishes, optional off-board experiences, insurance, gratuities and onboard retail items can cost extra.
The exact journey page governs the programme. At operational stops, guests may be required to leave the train while it is serviced; a city-centre transfer is provided when no paid experience is selected. REQUEST VIP obtains the current inclusion sheet rather than treating every excursion pictured online as part of the base booking.
Documents, luggage and protected connections
Boarding requires identification, confirmation and any visa needed for the traveller's nationality. International services add border requirements. The operator advises planning significant time around check-in and final arrival, so a tight unprotected flight is a poor match. Private jet coordination or scheduled air should follow confirmed rail documents.
Cabin storage is deliberately limited. Carry documents, medication and essentials personally; pack one cabin bag for the journey. Additional luggage may stay at the Roma Ostiense lounge on round trips or travel separately on one-way routes and remain inaccessible until arrival.
Children under 12 are not permitted by the current FAQ, and a person under 16 must share with an adult. Dietary requirements belong in the booking request; strict religious-observance meals are not promised. The luxury travel service can coordinate surrounding arrangements once these operating rules and the rail date are accepted.
Contract, charter and independence
Official registration terms identify Arsenale Express as organiser, trip provider and train owner. Full-train charter is possible only subject to availability, railway approval and technical feasibility; partial privatisation is not offered. A multi-cabin group still shares the restaurant and bar with other guests unless the whole train is contracted.
The offer must name journey, date, cabin, occupancy, currency, deposit, balance, cancellation and payment recipient. REQUEST VIP works independently of Orient Express, Arsenale Express, Accor and their affiliated companies; none has endorsed or appointed REQUEST VIP as an official representative. No rate, allocation or charter access is claimed until documented.
How It Works
- Send dates, preferred Italian regions, guests, cabin category, mobility, diet and onward cities.
- REQUEST VIP establishes the live departure, exact accommodation, included services and contracting entity.
- Compare the complete amount, optional experiences, luggage, documents and cancellation exposure.
- Confirm the train first, then secure compatible hotels, transfers and protected air connections.
