Royal Scotsman Concierge Booking
Start with journey length and excursion pace. A three-night West Coast programme, four-night Highlands route, five-night Highlands and West itinerary and seven-night Grand Tour do not cover the same places. The dated page must identify the stops, walks, castles, distilleries or boat sectors rather than relying on a general promise of “the Highlands.”

Current cabin configuration
The live Royal Scotsman page gives a precise 18-cabin mix: four Grand Suites, five Doubles and nine Twins. The 14m² Grand Suite has a double bed, marble en-suite and lounging area. Double Cabins and Twin Cabins are 7.9m²; the latter uses two separate beds, and the current descriptions present both with en-suite facilities.
Do not use old brochures that list 22 state cabins or a 40-guest layout. The published 2026 web configuration takes priority. A single traveller, adjacent-cabin request or whole-train group needs a fresh response; “next door” does not mean an internal connecting door.
Grand Suite extras currently include a personal butler, champagne, a named whisky, one spa treatment per guest and private arrival and departure car transfers. These benefits belong to that category and should not be assigned to a Double or Twin. The Belmond hotel concierge page is also separate; hotel recognition or benefits do not automatically apply aboard the train.
Journey inclusions and exclusions
Belmond's FAQ states that the fare covers state-cabin accommodation, daily table d'hôte meals, selected alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, onboard entertainment, outdoor activities and the sightseeing excursions shown in the booking. Insurance, gratuities and souvenirs are excluded. A special golf option, spa service beyond an included Grand Suite treatment or independent activity requires its own confirmation.
Dining takes place in two dining cars, and the observation car and bar are shared social spaces. Dietary requirements should be supplied before travel. The proposal must also identify any physical demand, footwear, outdoor clothing and weather alternative for each excursion.
Edinburgh timings, mobility and luggage
All current journeys begin and finish at Edinburgh Waverley. Published departure and return times are explicitly approximate because the train uses the national rail network.
