REQUEST VIP coordinates a Maharajas’ Express luxury train enquiry around one of four named India journeys, a 2026–27 departure and a precise cabin. The longer programmes run six nights while Treasures of India runs three. Bed layout, bathroom, excursion transport, visa, mobility and pre- or post-train accommodation need separate confirmation.
Key Facts
- IRCTC publishes The Indian Panorama, The Indian Splendour and The Heritage of India as six-night, seven-day journeys.
- Treasures of India is a three-night, four-day Delhi round trip covering Agra, Ranthambore and Jaipur.
- Deluxe Cabin, Junior Suite, Suite and Presidential Suite all have en-suite facilities, with different areas, beds and excursion transport.
- The base programme includes cabin nights, meals, house beverages and stated guided visits; flights, transfers and outside hotels are generally separate.
The Maharajas’ Express Concierge Booking
Select the circuit before the room. The Indian Splendour runs Delhi to Mumbai through Agra, Ranthambore and Rajasthan. The Heritage of India reverses the broad direction from Mumbai to Delhi. The Indian Panorama returns to Delhi via Jaipur, Ranthambore, Agra, Orchha, Khajuraho and Varanasi. Treasures of India is the shorter Delhi circuit.
REQUEST VIP should document the official journey, date, check-in venue, departure and arrival stations, cabin, occupancy and operator status. The luxury train collection helps frame alternatives, but IRCTC notes that timings, venues and visit order can change. The itinerary and voucher issued for the actual departure control.
Cabins, beds and en-suites
The official cabin pages list Deluxe at 112 square feet with double or twin beds and an en-suite shower. Junior Suite is 150 square feet, also offered in double or twin configurations with shower. Suite is 220 square feet with a double bed, separate living area, bath and shower. The single Presidential Suite contains a double room and a twin room and is published for up to four guests.
Category affects more than floor area. Current inclusions describe shared deluxe coaches for Deluxe and Junior Suite excursions, while Suite and Presidential Suite may use cars on many visits; game drives and boat trips can operate differently. Wi-Fi is subject to network coverage. Confirm bed allocation, bath or shower, luggage space and off-train vehicle for the selected date instead of treating category names as universal.
Train nights, meals and exclusions
The headline six or three nights refer to the rail journey and cabin accommodation. A palace or hotel named for lunch, dinner or an event is not automatically an overnight stay. Any Mumbai or Delhi hotel before check-in or after disembarkation must appear explicitly on the proposal. Northern winter fog and rail disruption can affect arrival, so keep margin before onward travel.
IRCTC currently lists meals, soft drinks, house Indian wine, beer and spirits, butler service, stated guided excursions, entrance and ordinary still-camera fees, ground transport and station porterage among core inclusions. Optional tours, insurance, gratuities, laundry, premium drinks, video or professional-camera charges, flights, arrival or departure transfers and pre/post hotels are generally excluded. Taxes and category-specific private vehicles require an exact dated check.
India documents and physical access
Each traveller is responsible for a passport and the correct Indian visa or permission for their nationality. Use current Indian government and mission guidance rather than an older website summary. Insurance details and known medical or dietary needs should be supplied before travel. REQUEST VIP can coordinate reminders but cannot decide entry or fitness eligibility.
IRCTC says the carriage design is not suitable for wheelchair-bound passengers and recommends an able-bodied companion for limited mobility. Off-train days can include uneven surfaces, stairs, jeeps and substantial walking. Discuss the exact circuit before booking and arrange a chauffeur connection with time to spare. A pre- or post-stay can be sourced through luxury hotels when confirmed separately.
Compare the Southeast Asian sleeper format of the Eastern & Oriental Express or the European heritage context of Venice Simplon-Orient-Express without assuming that similarly named suites share dimensions or inclusions.
This REQUEST VIP coordination is independent of IRCTC and The Maharajas’ Express; neither affiliation, endorsement nor official partnership is claimed.
