A Fjord yacht charter usually starts with a bright, open-deck day plan, yet the badge alone cannot define the boat or the service. REQUEST VIP can seek named commercial vessels after its supply is verified. The actual hull, operator documents, layout, weather plan and signed quote decide whether a candidate fits the guests and coast.

Key Facts

  • FJORD’s published range is builder information, not a list of yachts available through REQUEST VIP.
  • Open walkaround decks can favour social day use, but shade, spray protection and safe circulation differ by hull.
  • Factory layouts are configurable; the offered boat needs its own dated deck plan and photographs.
  • Legal guest capacity, operating waters, skipper, hours and insurance come from the commercial operator.

Models: Current Range and Older Charter Hulls

FJORD’s official range page, checked on 2 September 2026, lists the 39 XL at 11.97 metres overall, 39 XP at 11.95 metres, 490 Open at 14.6 metres, 490 Sport at 14.70 metres and 53 XL at 16.70 metres. The 39 XL page describes six upper-deck and two lower-deck alternatives; the 490 Open and 53 XL also offer configuration choices. These are construction options, so two boats sharing a model name need not present the same seating, galley, cabin or bathing-platform arrangement.

Earlier 41 XL and 44 Open boats may appear in the wider market, but FJORD now places those models in its historical section. “Historical” does not mean unsuitable or commercially approved. It means the proposal must establish build year, condition, maintenance, refit history and current certification rather than treating an older brochure as today’s specification.

Ask for the boat’s registered name, model, exact length, build year, engine and refit notes, current photos, deck plan and inventory. A factory configurator, dealer sales page or owner’s social post is not charter availability.

Charter Destinations for an Open Dayboat

The practical search area is the boat’s lawful operating base, not every coast associated with the brand. A Cannes day charter needs a precise embarkation point, parking or transfer plan and a route that fits contracted hours. An Ibiza day charter requires local commercial permission, realistic island distances and a reserve plan for wind. A Miami day charter calls for the applicable passenger-for-hire compliance and an agreed boarding location.

Open decks reward careful weather planning. Confirm how much of the actual seating is shaded at midday, where bags stay dry, whether children can move safely, and what protection exists from wind or spray. Beach, cove, restaurant and marina stops are not included merely because a route graphic shows them. Mooring permission, tender service, landing access and the restaurant reservation must each be checked.

The captain may shorten, reverse or replace a plan when sea state, traffic, port direction or safe return requires it. A useful quote therefore includes an attainable route plus a written poor-weather and cancellation remedy. The wider day yacht charter guide helps structure these choices before a particular boat is selected.

Sizes: Match Deck Geometry to the Party

Length separates broad formats but does not settle comfort. For the named Fjord, count usable forward-facing seats while underway, shaded dining places, steps, handholds and unobstructed passages. Review the height and privacy of the washroom, changing space, refrigeration, freshwater, swim ladder and ease of boarding from both quay and tender. Guests with reduced mobility need a measured route, not a general claim that “walkaround” equals accessible.

Overnight intent requires a different test. The presence of a lower deck or bed in a factory plan does not prove commercially permitted sleeping accommodation. Obtain the exact cabin, ventilation, bathroom, storage, crew or skipper arrangement and overnight guest limit for that hull. For a pure daytime programme, a larger interior may be less valuable than shade, deck flow and a suitable sea-access platform.

Equipment must be named in the operator’s inventory. Do not assume towels, snorkelling gear, paddleboards, a tender, Wi-Fi or premium audio. Ask how each water item is launched, which ages may use it, whether instruction or licences are required, and whether its use depends on the captain’s approval.

Weekly/Day Rates Where Available

No live Fjord rate card or availability has been verified for this page. Day pricing should state the exact start and finish, marina, skipper and crew, fuel allowance or route, catering, beverages, towels, berth charges, equipment, overtime, deposit, gratuity policy and cancellation response. “Full day” is not a standard number of hours.

Fuel treatment matters on a powered coastal itinerary. One offer may include a limited route; another may charge actual consumption or specify a supplement. Compare like-for-like courses, guest counts and hours. Delivery from another base, a late return, special catering and an event-day berth can change the total even when the headline day rate looks identical.

A weekly request is possible only where a specific boat, accommodation and operator support it. The weekly charter overview explains delivery and redelivery, provisioning and moving-port decisions. An MYBA-style agreement separates the vessel, period, places, cruising area, guest limits, charter fee, APA and delivery costs; another contract may apply. Read the actual agreement, payment account, cancellation clause and expense process before sending money.

The parent yacht charter service sets out the wider booking checks without replacing evidence for the named Fjord.

REQUEST VIP is independent of FJORD and HanseYachts AG. It must not claim factory affiliation, dealership, endorsement or priority allocation unless . Any booking is governed by the named operator’s agreement, not this editorial brand guide.

How It Works

  1. Share coast, date, guest count, hours, preferred Fjord size, swimming plan, must-have shade and budget range.
  2. Receive with named commercial boats, current base, real layouts, operating documents and comparable quotes.
  3. Check capacity, boarding, route, weather alternative, inclusions, fuel, tax, deposits, payment protection and cancellation terms.
  4. Sign the operator’s contract, then confirm the manifest, transfers, catering and captain-approved itinerary.

FAQ

Can I request a specific current Fjord model?

Yes, as a preference. A booking still requires a named commercially operated hull with written availability for the requested date and coast.

Is every Fjord suitable for overnight charter?

No. Lower-deck options vary, and commercial sleeping limits may differ from factory layouts. Verify the individual boat and contract.

How many guests may join a Fjord day charter?

The operator must confirm the lawful limit for the boat, waters and operation. A sales brochure number is not enough.

Does a Fjord day rate include fuel?

It depends on the quote. Request the route or allowance, charging method, tax and all supplements in writing before comparison.

Can lunch or a beach club be included?

Catering can be quoted, but shore venues, landing permission and tables remain separate confirmations unless the contract expressly includes them.

Is REQUEST VIP an official FJORD charter partner?

No such status is verified. REQUEST VIP should act only as an independent concierge coordinating third-party proposals.
