A Lürssen yacht charter is a search for one individually built vessel, not a production model. REQUEST VIP may coordinate named proposals only after its broker or manager access is documented. The builder’s portfolio proves construction history; it does not prove that any yacht is for charter, available, permitted in a region or offered at a stated price.

Key Facts

  • Lürssen describes bespoke yachts rather than a standard model range with repeatable charter specifications.
  • A yacht shown in the shipyard portfolio may be private, renamed, sold, refitted or absent from the charter market.
  • Only a current authorised listing and written owner acceptance establish availability for exact dates.
  • Large-yacht planning must reconcile legal capacity, berths, tenders, delivery ports, crew operation and variable expenses.

Models: Why the Yacht Name Comes First

The official Lürssen design pages emphasise custom construction, while the shipyard’s portfolio can be sorted by name, year and length. That is fundamentally different from selecting a repeated factory model. Each project may have distinct naval architecture, interior, guest circulation, technical systems and later refits. Search results that call a famous vessel a “model” can therefore blur the line between shipyard, individual yacht and current commercial status.

No named Lürssen is promised on this page. A candidate may be presented only when its authorised manager or central agent confirms the current yacht name, dates, delivery position and right to market it. The proposal should record former names where relevant, build and refit years, exact length, flag, current photographs, layout, guest limits and the contracting owner entity.

Privacy needs must be agreed, not inferred from vessel size. Ask who receives identity documents, preference forms and security information, where those records are stored, and which parties require them. Photography, visitors, events and communications may be restricted by the contract or captain even when a yacht’s public portfolio shows entertainment spaces.

Charter Destinations and Positioning Logic

Start with a region and embarkation window, then test the vessel’s real seasonal position. A Mediterranean weekly charter could involve different flag, tax and cabotage questions when delivery or redelivery moves between countries. An ocean-capable build is not automatically commercially permitted everywhere. The central agent, captain and local adviser must confirm the lawful cruising area, charter licence, immigration formalities and any restrictions on embarkation.

Berth availability is a separate constraint. A large yacht can lie at anchor with tender transfers even when a harbour is on the itinerary, and tender landings depend on weather and local rules. The yacht berth service can be coordinated only after the exact dimensions, draught, dates and port requirements are known; it cannot guarantee allocation.

Delivery and redelivery positions should appear in the contract. Repositioning may consume time and create fees, fuel or schedule risk. Helicopter capability must never be assumed from a photograph or shipyard description. If essential, the helicopter-landing yacht filter is merely a search starting point: the named yacht, aviation operator, landing area, certification, crew procedure and local permission all require written confirmation.

Sizes: Large-Yacht Due Diligence

Lürssen’s official locations page says its Rendsburg facility specialises in custom yachts from 55 to 110 metres, while Bremen supports superyachts over 100 metres. These are shipyard capabilities, not boundaries for a charter fleet and not evidence of supply. For a specific vessel, use registered particulars and the current charter specification instead of a search-engine length.

Size affects more than space. Review certified guests cruising and sleeping, cabin configuration, lifts and stairs, crew routes, tender boarding, medical planning, accessibility, communications and shore transfers. Ask whether a requested event changes permitted occupancy at berth or anchor. A high day-visitor count cannot be derived from the overnight figure.

Every prized feature needs hull-level proof: pool dimensions, spa, cinema, water toys, dive arrangements, gym equipment, stabilisation, connectivity and aviation facilities may be unavailable, restricted or altered after refit. Technical capability also does not guarantee guest use in particular waters. The captain controls safety, and local laws govern operations.

Weekly/Day Rates Where Available

There is no verified Lürssen inventory or live price on this page. Large yachts are commonly evaluated through multi-day or weekly terms, but no universal minimum is stated here. A day use, event or static charter must be expressly authorised; it should not be extrapolated from a weekly rate.

The MYBA sample charter agreement illustrates why the complete deal matters: vessel, flag, length, period, delivery and redelivery, cruising area, sleeping and cruising guests, crew, fee, APA, delivery charges and security deposit are separate fields. The signed form may differ. APA, where used, funds operating expenses under the agreed accounting process; it is not automatically an all-inclusive markup.

Compare proposals after aligning itinerary, fuel assumptions, tax, provisioning, ports, agents, tenders, shore transport, communications, special equipment, delivery and gratuity policy. Verify the stakeholder or client account and confirm any changed payment instructions through an independently known channel. Cancellation, owner default, breakdown, force majeure and insurance wording deserve review before the deposit.

REQUEST VIP is independent of Lürssen and is not the shipyard’s dealer, charter department or endorsed representative. The authorised listing and final charter contract override this informational page.

The parent yacht charter service explains the broader process, but never substitutes for checks on the named Lürssen.

How It Works

  1. Provide dates, region, guests, cabin needs, privacy requirements, accessibility, preferred length range and budget framework.
  2. REQUEST VIP checks for named vessels with current manager authority and seasonal position.
  3. Review specification, commercial documents, itinerary, berths, variable costs, payment path, insurance and cancellation on equal assumptions.
  4. Execute the owner or operator agreement, then complete manifest, preferences, security coordination and the captain-approved programme.

FAQ

Which Lürssen yachts can REQUEST VIP charter now?

None are verified on this page. A dated proposal from an authorised manager must identify each available vessel and booking window.

Is the Lürssen website a charter catalogue?

No. Its portfolio records yachts built by the shipyard. Public visibility does not establish charter status, location or owner approval.

Can I request a famous Lürssen by name?

You may state a preference, but REQUEST VIP must not imply access until the authorised representative confirms a live opportunity.

Are fuel, berths and food included in the weekly rate?

Only the written quote and contract decide. These items are often treated separately, so compare the complete projected cost.

Can a Lürssen accept more guests for a dockside event?

Possibly only with owner, captain, insurer, flag and port approval. The sleeping limit does not establish lawful event occupancy.

Does REQUEST VIP represent Lürssen?

No verified affiliation exists. REQUEST VIP should be presented as an independent concierge dealing with authorised third parties.
