An Azimut yacht search should begin with how the boat will be used, not a model name alone. REQUEST VIP can coordinate a confidential acquisition brief, a documented comparison of authorised listings and the specialists required for inspection and closing. Current supply, prices and representation terms still require verification before any yacht is presented.

Key Facts

  • Azimut's published range covers different uses, from open and flybridge yachts to larger Grande models.
  • A model badge does not establish the exact layout, engines or options of a particular hull.
  • Independent survey, machinery checks, sea trial and title review should be agreed before acceptance.

Azimut Models to Compare

Azimut's official range reviewed in September 2026 groups yachts into Seadeck, Fly, S, Verve, Atlantis, Magellano and Grande families. That taxonomy is useful for defining a search, but it is not a substitute for the build record of a pre-owned yacht. Fly models emphasise flybridge living; Atlantis and Verve address more open, day-oriented use; Magellano is positioned around longer-range cruising; Grande sits at the larger end of the portfolio. Seadeck introduces a different efficiency-led concept.

For scale, the published range includes the 16.78-metre Fly 53, the 21.70-metre Seadeck 7 and Grande models above 26 metres. These figures identify current model families, not the specification of a yacht offered for sale. A hull may have a different engine package, cabin arrangement, stabilisation, navigation equipment or tender provision. Earlier Azimut series also remain active on the brokerage market, so model year and hull identification number matter more than a current brochure comparison.

Decide whether the priority is owner operation, professional crew, weekend use or extended cruising. Compare draught, crew circulation, shaded exterior areas, storage, noise at realistic speed and maintenance access. A larger yacht is not automatically the better match if it complicates berthing, crewing or annual operations.

Brokerage, Acquisition and Off-Market Opportunities

Every candidate should be recorded on the same evidence sheet: legal name, hull identification number, build and model year, length, beam, draught, engines and serial numbers, recorded hours, flag, class or coding status, VAT or import evidence, asking price, location and date verified. Photographs and broker descriptions help screen a yacht, but they do not prove condition, title or tax status.

REQUEST VIP should disclose who supplied each listing, who represents the seller and whether the concierge or another party would represent the buyer. An opportunity described as off market should be shared only with the owner's or authorised broker's permission and never treated as guaranteed access.

The Azimut yacht charter page may help clarify preferred onboard features, although a commercial charter configuration can differ from a private-use acquisition. For a longer onboard test, the weekly yacht charter guide explains the planning horizon.

Survey, Records and Sea Trial

Appoint a surveyor who is independent of the seller and whose scope matches the yacht's size, construction and machinery. The written scope may include an out-of-water inspection, moisture or laminate checks where appropriate, machinery diagnostics, fluid sampling, generators, stabilisers, steering, electrical systems, navigation equipment, safety equipment, domestic systems and a complete inventory. Engine hours should be reconciled with service records rather than accepted from a display alone.

Match equipment and layout against the original build specification and refit invoices. Record modifications, repairs, groundings or claims when lawfully available. The sea trial should test starting, temperatures, vibration, steering, trim, stabilisation, noise and hotel loads. Any defect needs treatment under the signed agreement.

Offer, Tax, Flag and Delivery

The memorandum of agreement should define price, deposit handling, survey and sea-trial conditions, document deadlines, acceptance procedure, delivery place, included inventory and the point at which title and risk transfer. There is no universal deposit percentage or timetable. Buyer counsel should approve the contract and the escrow or client-account route before funds move.

Tax cannot be inferred from a flag, a marina or a broker's headline. VAT, import duty and other liabilities depend on the yacht's documented status, ownership structure, buyer residence, intended use, location and future movements. A maritime lawyer and tax or customs adviser should verify the position for the actual transaction. REQUEST VIP does not provide legal or tax advice.

Flag selection should follow the operating plan. Eligibility, use, cruising areas, finance, coding, manning and insurance affect the choice; reflagging may require surveys and new documents. Before delivery, arrange insurance, management, crew, berth and immediate works.

REQUEST VIP operates independently from Azimut Yachts. It holds no official partnership, endorsement or brand affiliation. References to the marque simply define the buyer's requested search.

FAQ

Which Azimut series should I consider?

Fly, Seadeck, S, Verve, Atlantis, Magellano and Grande address different operating profiles. The right starting point depends on crew, cruising range, exterior-space priorities, draught and budget rather than the series name alone.

Can REQUEST VIP show current Azimut yachts for sale?

. No yacht should be described as available until its source, location, asking price and verification date are confirmed.

Are brochure specifications reliable for a pre-owned yacht?

They are useful orientation only. Confirm the exact hull, engines, layout, options and modifications against builder documents, physical inspection and service records.

Is a sea trial enough without a haul-out?

The two answer different questions. The independent surveyor should recommend an appropriate scope, which may include haul-out, machinery diagnostics and a sea trial subject to the purchase agreement.

Does an EU berth prove VAT-paid status?

No. Tax status requires transaction-specific documents and professional review; location or flag alone is not proof.

Can the yacht be reflagged after closing?

Often possible, but eligibility, technical compliance, deletion documents, mortgages, insurance and intended private or commercial use must be checked before committing.
