Luxury vintage car rental requires more verification than choosing a modern category. Tell REQUEST VIP the city, date, purpose, passenger plan, route and visual preferences. The concierge can seek a specific collector vehicle with an owner-approved use, delivery method and written terms. No make, era or image on this page represents confirmed inventory.

Key Facts

  • Road drive, chauffeured transport, static display and commercial production are different uses and require separate owner and insurer approval.
  • The proposal should identify the actual car, year or documented description, registration status, current condition and intended substitute.
  • Older vehicles can have limited weather sealing, restraints, climate control, accessibility and luggage; these points must be confirmed, not assumed.
  • REQUEST VIP is an independent concierge and is not affiliated with any historic manufacturer or owners' club mentioned in a client request.

Choosing an authentic vintage or classic car

Start with the purpose. A vehicle that looks right in a ceremony photograph may be unsuitable for a long road journey. A concours-level car may only be offered on static display. A restored touring classic can be roadworthy but still require an owner-appointed chauffeur. Define whether originality, colour, body style, period, open roof or passenger access is essential.

Ask for dated photographs of the exact car, chassis or fleet identifier where the owner can provide it, registration jurisdiction, year, restoration description, seats, seat-belt arrangement, roof, climate control, luggage and visible condition. Do not describe a replica, continuation or tribute vehicle as an original; its status belongs in the confirmation.

The parent luxury car rental service can provide a modern backup or support vehicle if the collector car's limits do not fit the itinerary.

VIP Chauffeur Service

A chauffeur supplied or approved by the owner is often the most credible format. Familiarity with starting procedure, brakes, steering, gearbox, dimensions and mechanical care matters. The booking should state who employs the driver, commercial passenger authority where required, working hours, route, waiting, parking and what the passenger may touch or operate.

The standard chauffeur-driven rental service may coordinate the modern support car. It does not prove that its driver is permitted to operate a collector vehicle. Self-drive should be offered only when the owner and insurer approve the named driver for that exact car, with training or familiarisation where specified.

Weddings, events and static display

For a ceremony, use the dedicated luxury wedding car service to map timing, passenger clothing, venue access, decoration and weather fallback. Confirm whether the vintage car carries passengers or appears only for photographs. A venue's invitation does not authorise a transporter, engine running indoors or placement on protected paving.

For a gala, launch or exhibition, establish load-in, floor protection, fuel level, battery isolation, barriers, fire rules, guarding and load-out. The luxury events service may coordinate the wider programme, while the owner retains control of the car.

Commercial stills, film, music video, branding, camera mounts, drones and talent driving require a production agreement. State territory, media, duration and use before quotation. A normal passenger booking does not transfer image, trademark or design rights.

Route, weather and reliability plan

Provide every road and stop. Check hills, tunnels, low-emission or restricted zones, ferry ramps, rough access, secure parking and fuel. Mechanical limits can lead the owner to cap distance or speed, require a support technician or deliver on an enclosed transporter. Those are service conditions, not defects to hide.

Agree a weather threshold. Rain, extreme heat, salt, snow or dust can make an open or valuable car unavailable. The contract should say whether the booking changes time, moves indoors, substitutes another named car or refunds a defined amount.

A mechanical failure is always possible. Record the recovery provider, passenger fallback, substitute standard, decision authority and maximum waiting time. A modern standby vehicle can protect the schedule without falsely guaranteeing the collector car.

Delivery and condition

The confirmation should name the owner's base, transporter, legal unloading point, driver, keys and responsible recipient. Check enough space for ramps and turning. Hotel curb delivery is not suitable if the car needs an enclosed truck and a slow unloading process.

Before use, create a joint condition record covering body, trim, roof, glass, wheels, tyres, cabin, instruments, fuel, mileage and accessories. Note which controls the guest may operate. At return or load-out, repeat the same record and secure keys and documents with the named representative.

Price and written requirements

The quote separates vehicle use, owner or chauffeur, transport, loading, standby, technician, insurance, venue costs, tax and REQUEST VIP fee. It should state distance, hours, weather, cancellation, damage responsibility, guest conduct, photography, replacement and overtime.

There is no universal vintage-car daily rate, deposit or self-drive rule. must precede publication of any number.

How It Works

  1. Send city, date, purpose, route, passengers, visual preferences, venue and required operating hours.
  2. REQUEST VIP seeks a specific vehicle and confirms whether road, chauffeur, display or production use is possible.
  3. Review identity, condition, driver, transporter, weather, backup, insurance, price and cancellation in writing.
  4. After confirmation, the concierge coordinates approved delivery and timing while the owner controls vehicle operation.

FAQ

Which vintage cars are available?

No verified REQUEST VIP collection is supplied. A proposal must identify the actual car, its stated year or status, current photographs, location and approved use.

Can I drive the car myself?

Only if the owner and insurer approve the named driver for that exact vehicle. Many collector cars are offered only with an appointed driver or for display.

Can a vintage car be used at a wedding?

Yes, subject to availability, passenger fit, venue access, weather and decoration permission. Confirm a backup before relying on it for a fixed ceremony.

What happens if the car develops a fault?

The contract should define recovery, substitute or passenger backup, decision contact and commercial remedy. Absolute mechanical reliability cannot be promised.

Can the vehicle be used for filming?

Only under a production-specific agreement covering driver, road or static use, location, equipment, media, insurance and rights.

How is the car delivered?

It may be driven, trailered or moved in an enclosed transporter depending on the owner and distance. The legal unloading area and cost must be confirmed.
