Count usable bedrooms rather than marketing room totals. Confirm bed types, bathrooms, air conditioning, child suitability, step-free routes, privacy between households and where nannies or personal security sleep. Ask for dated photographs and written confirmation of maintenance, backup power, desalination or stored water, internet and emergency communications.
Occupancy must include every traveller and support person. A villa plan that works for couples may fail for several generations, staff or guests requiring accessible rooms. Pools, gyms, treatment rooms and water-sports equipment should appear in the dated offer with operating status and supervision rules.
Staff
Define the island manager, housekeeping, kitchen, service, engineering, boat crew, security and childcare coverage by role and hours. “Fully staffed” does not reveal overnight response, language capability, qualifications or staff accommodation. Personal employees brought by the client may need immigration or work authorisation; the island manager must confirm what is lawful before travel.
Provisioning should start with menus, allergies, children's food, beverages, medicines and preferred brands. Record what is stocked locally, what comes from Mahé and what requires a special shipment. Build the onward journey separately from the international sector. The Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority identifies Seychelles International Airport and several domestic aerodromes, but an aerodrome's existence does not prove that a particular aircraft or island booking can use it. Sea transfers require a named embarkation point, licensed vessel, passenger and baggage capacity, navigation limits and a safe final landing. International yacht arrival is a border and port process, not a private arrangement with the island. Seychelles maritime rules provide for pre-arrival documentation and official clearance involving relevant authorities. The vessel's agent and master should verify current notices, permitted entry point, customs and immigration, anchorage and environmental restrictions before the island contract is signed.
The contingency plan should identify a communications path, the nearest appropriate medical facility as confirmed by a provider, evacuation decision authority and an alternative night if the last sector cannot operate.
