REQUEST VIP coordinates Rocky Mountaineer luxury train requests for the operator’s Canadian daylight routes, subject to a dated itinerary and verified availability. Guests sightsee onboard during the day and sleep in hotels, not train cabins. Send route, direction, dates, service level, guests, hotel priorities and mobility needs so every rail day and overnight can be checked together.
Key Facts
- Rocky Mountaineer is a daylight rail experience; there are no sleeper cabins, and hotel accommodation is used between train days.
- The 2026 Canadian programme lists First Passage to the West, Journey through the Clouds and Rainforest to Gold Rush.
- Canadian service levels are SilverLeaf and GoldLeaf; their coach layout, meal service and mobility route differ.
- The former US Rockies to the Red Rocks operation uses the Canyon Spirit brand from the 2026 season and should not be sold as a current Rocky Mountaineer route.
Rocky Mountaineer Concierge Booking
Begin with geography. First Passage to the West links Vancouver through Kamloops with Banff or Lake Louise options. Journey through the Clouds uses the Vancouver–Kamloops–Jasper corridor. Rainforest to Gold Rush runs through Whistler and Quesnel toward Jasper. Packages can add coaches, Calgary, hotels, sightseeing or circle combinations, so total duration is not the number of rail days.
REQUEST VIP compares the dated choice within the luxury train journeys collection. The proposal should name route, eastbound or westbound direction, tour code, rail days, hotel nights, room category, transfers and excursions. REQUEST VIP is an independent concierge service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or an official representative of Rocky Mountaineer or Canyon Spirit.
SilverLeaf or GoldLeaf
SilverLeaf uses a single-level glass-dome coach with meals and drinks served at the seat. GoldLeaf on the Canadian routes uses a bi-level dome: seating is upstairs, while a dining room and outdoor viewing platform are on the lower level. The operator’s accessibility guidance notes an elevator in GoldLeaf coaches, but suitability still depends on equipment dimensions, transfers, hotels and activities.
Neither is a sleeping category. Compare windows, stairs or lift, meal setting and access to the viewing area. Confirm the service level on every rail sector; a brochure image is not an allocation.
Unlike sleepers such as The Ghan, Royal Scotsman and Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, Rocky Mountaineer has no cabin or bathroom-category choice.
Hotels, luggage and daily logistics
Guests leave the train for the assigned hotel. Confirm property or tier, room, bedding, accessibility, transfer, breakfast and luggage handling. Accommodation patterns differ by package; never infer one itinerary’s hotel from another.
Keep medication, documents, valuables and rail-day essentials in the permitted carry-on. Checked luggage travels separately and may be unavailable until the hotel. Obtain current piece, weight and special-item limits before packing.
Start times can be early and railway operations can delay arrival. The operator’s guidance advises against onward travel on the night the train reaches its destination. REQUEST VIP can coordinate a luxury hotel and next-day flight or driver after the final documents show the arrival plan.
Food, connectivity and accessibility
Meals and drinks are served onboard, with a different method by level. The operator currently asks for dietary restrictions or allergies at least 60 days ahead. REQUEST VIP should submit the requirement and obtain acknowledgement.
There is no onboard Wi-Fi and much of the route has limited mobile coverage. Download documents in advance. Satellite equipment, large batteries and medical devices require approval.
Mobility planning must cover the whole itinerary. Disclose wheelchair dimensions and weight, transfer ability, personal assistance, bathroom needs and accessible-room requirements before booking. Some motorcoaches, taxis, stops or excursions may not have ramps, and the operator does not provide individual personal care. A confirmed rail seat alone does not make the package suitable.
Fare, inclusions and conditions
The quote should show year, route, direction, tour code, service level, rooms, meals, drinks, luggage, transfers, activities, taxes, gratuities and REQUEST VIP fees. Verify currency and remove expired offers. Third-party services may have separate cancellation terms.
Review payment, amendments, mobility disclosure, luggage liability and cancellation. Weather, wildfire and network operations can affect the journey. Insure the non-refundable value and relevant risks; REQUEST VIP cannot promise exact arrival or wildlife.
How It Works
- Share preferred Canadian region, dates, direction, guests, service level, room needs and mobility details.
- REQUEST VIP checks the current train, tour code, rail days, hotels, transfers, inclusions and live status.
- Review seating, meals, luggage, accessibility, connection buffer, insurance and cancellation in writing.
- Confirm the operator booking, then add protected hotels, transport and any wider Canadian itinerary.
